Why not fight it on my own? |

How long does the process take? |

Once you sign up for our services, FIX A FINE will prepare and mail your documents directly to you in the specified time you choose. Once you have received your documents, you will need to sign and mail the documents to the courthouse. Once you have mailed the signed documents to the courthouse, it will typically take one to three months to receive a response. |

Do I need to pay my bail amount before a trial by declaration? |

Unfortunately, California law does require you to pay the bail amount before a trial by declaration. |

What if I got a ticket outside of California? |

Unfortunately, as for now, FIX A FINE is only registered to do business in the state of California but we will be expanding our services in the near future! |

Do I need to complete traffic school if I am doing a trial by written declaration? |

No, you do not need to complete traffic school if you have filed for a trail by written declaration.

Can I file for an extension? |
 |
Some courts in California will not allow you to file for a trial by declaration if you have requested an extension. Please give FIX A FINE a call for further information at (855) FIX A FINE. |

How long does it take to get my paperwork? |
 |
Depending on the service you choose, it typically takes less than two weeks. However, we do offer a rush service for a small convenience fee. |

What if my court date is in a couple days? |
 |
FIX A FINE offers rush delivery and documents processing services for a small convenience fee which can be selected before checkout. If you encounter any problems please contact FIX A FINE. |

What is the bail amount? |
 |
If you want to fight your ticket through a Trial by Written Declaration you must first pay the bail amount to initiate the process. The bail amount is the fine for your ticket which must be paid directly to the court. It does not include the court traffic school fee and is stated on your courtesy notice from the court. You may call the court if you don’t know what your bail amount is. The court will refund you the bail amount when your case is dismissed. |

What if I can’t pay the bail amount? |

If you need more time you can file for an extension with the court or you may send a letter called an O.R. release also referred to as a release on your “own recognizance”. If you need assistance or details about the form please feel free to contact FIX A FINE at (855) 349-2346. |

Can I pay the bail amount with a credit card? |
 |
Most courts only accept check or money order for the bail amount; however, you may want to make sure you check with the court to ensure the court allows you to pay the bail amount with a credit card. |

What if my ticket is not dismissed? |
 |
If your ticket is not dismissed by means of trail by written declaration, you have a few options:

You can choose to pay your ticket.

You can pay for your ticket and ask FIX A FINE to request traffic school for you.

You can ask FIX A FINE to file for a re-trial.
